Judy Garland said it best when first she clicked those ruby slippers. Having been to 33 states here in our Federal Union and two countries (where else? Canada and Mexico...), I can honestly say "there's no place like home".

Having just returned from a business trip in the Rockies, I can honestly say I enjoyed myself in the great state of Colorado. The people were hospitable and the scenery was magnificent. Boulder, CO had a delightfully leftist feel to things...I still expected to see a couple of folk having granola on a public square somewhere...where have all the "hippies" gone?

But Colorado was experiencing a nasty drought and when I landed back in Wisconsin everything here seemed green to the eightieth power by comparison. My friend Bill says it all has something to do with the deposits left by some ancient glaciers...I don't question it, I just like it...

Well i mean your home is always the best no matter where you live because you are accustomed do not need to always be tierd trying to manuever throught the many challenges and never really being able to settle down on the road. That is what makes home the best place to be.

Australia is increasingly a racial melting pot that I never tire of learning about other cultures. Otherwise, I have no interest in going past Melbourne.

Brian asked "where have all the hippies gone?"

Many of us to pot!

But not the original kind Smile

I love Australia although I'm not australian. I do agree though that wherever it is that we feel at home...that is where our home is. Smile
