I have tried several ways to get fit including running and martial arts but kept getting injured.
I have since discovered that the best way to develop core strength, stamina and flexibility is to swim every day for a minimum of 30 minutes.
This has given me a well toned body and relieved many injury issues that I had previously thought too deeply embedded to shake off.
I can't recommend it enough!!! |

I have been telling my clients that the ideal excercise programme consists of swimming and Tai Chi.
Tai Chi will gently work all the muscle groups and ensure tone while neglecting cardio vascular. ( the reason it is recommended to recovering heart patients and elderly)
Swimming first will provide the excercise needed to develop your muscles, heart and lungs.
After a couple of months of this, I then suggest finding an organized sport to add to this such as slow pitch, badminton, soccer etc. |

| i used to swim a lot. The one thing that it really helped me to improve was my oxygen efficiency. It was amazing how far i could run or swim without running out of breath. |
