ski or snowboard finatics?

I take atleat two trips a year to the mountains usually one to snow ski and one too mountain bike. Anyone else share the same interests??

Is it normal for a mountain bike tire to go flat riding over a rose bush thorn? I rode over a rose bush thorn and my tire went flat. Is this just a cheap tire or would any mountain bike tire do that?

I've been skiing a few times, and I really enjoyed it, but I would really like to try snowboarding. The problem is, I've heard that it takes awhile to learn, and I never can snowboard for more than a day or so. I'm pretty good at skateboarding, so do you think that some of that could carry over into snowboarding? Is it worth it to take the time to learn?

Skiing and boarding are great fun. I myself am a skiier. As are the rest of the family.

Last time I went to the mountain I managed to break my leg and twice too, through both bones - not the most pleasant experience I've ever had. Been on skis at a local indoor field since then fine, speaking of which, I should go again soon...

I haven't tried any of those, since we don't have it in my country with hot climate. Lately I've been talking to an europe friend about skiing, maybe soon I will have try over there. From what I've heard about, it's fun to go skiing. My friend often goes and enjoys it. I don't want to miss this.
