You tell me. It is very quiet down here. It's hard to start conversation but there is good things too. I haven't seen those spammer fools a lot. But I still could take them if here would be more adrenaline pumping conversation going on.

I have visited this site everyday since I joined a few days ago and very disappointed about how little action there is. This is such a great site with very interesting topics but it's so quiet. I hope it picks up because it would be a shame to see such talented posters and subjects go to waste. Come on, there's so much to talk about and compare notes.

There are a lot of message areas on this board. Only a couple active members. So, go where the activity is. Like here. The place you've already come. Umm, yeah. Do what you already did.

As for the trolls... try going to the usenet (newsgroups... something like alt.sex.bondage.particle.physics or alt.prophecies.nostradamus), that's where you will find some serious trolling.

I like this forum because of the quality.You have to think hard before typing.On one hand,it controls the number of posts.Given the sheer number of sub-forums,imagaine if each of them had about 100 topics,how much broadband width will that take.Even if the forum is free,users will feel that the forum is slow,non-reponsive,then will people still visit?
If we just let anyone anyhow posts something of little value...it is wasting everyone time.It is non-constructive and basically spam.If you are the author and when you check that your topic is getting all sorts of useless comments,it just goes to show the disrespect for you.

On the other hand,the forum is less active but i learnt quite a handful of things.Instead of looking at senseless data,would it not be better if those data influence you into thinking?This is a case of quality against quantity.

Perhaps the best solution to this is to loosen the emphasis on proper English...not to the point where it is rotten but to the point i and you can understand despite a few grammatical,vocabulary,structure etc...errors or simply ask the moderaters to edit their posts.

Till the official gives the call,all i can do is to watch how the situation unfold.

She's right though!! There isn't nearly enough discussing going on for such an interesting forum...but I do like the quality as well. Every topic I read is worth a response.

You're right, it is a very quiet forum. But look at it this way - at least there don't seem to be any cliques like there are in many forums I've lurked around in and there's no one chasing anyone around with a virtual cast iron skillet. Some forums I've read were so childish they weren't worth returning to. This one seems to be populated by mature, sensible people just looking for a way to improve themselves and their lives. I say more power to them all and I hope the programs work for everyone.
